Sole Survivor Walkthrough! [SPOILERS]
Here's the full walkthrough for SOLE SURVIVOR - an island escape game made in 5 days for Interstellar Game Jam 6!
MAJOR SPOILERS AHEAD
PUZZLE 1 - TWO OF A KIND
Pick up the scroll on the beach that reads "You were separated from your tribe! Oops!"
Flip it over and read: "you should be looking for SUITS. Two of a Kind"
Collect all five of the cards scattered around the island. The two cards with the same numbers/suits are the two ten of spades cards.
Enter 1010 into the chest behind the tarp.
PUZZLE 2 - TWO PEAS IN A POD
Read the scroll that starts with "Two peas in a pod..." and head for the table with the basket of peas.
Flip the scroll over and remember that Wrinkled Peas are Dominant and Yellow Peas are Recessive.
On the table are two pea pods: the Green and Round pea pod is perpendicular to the Yellow and Wrinkled pea pod. They represent the X and Y Axis of a Punnett Square.
Of the eight peas in the basket, only two peas represent two recessive genes: the yellow, round peas with 33 and 17 on the bottom.
Enter 3317 to the locked chest on top of the Punnett Square table.
PUZZLE 3 - TWO THUMBS UP
Take the sunscreen from the chest on the Punnett Square table and head for the firepit.
While holding the sunscreen, press E angling over the coconuts on the ground. If you hit the correct coconut a white thumbprint will appear. There are only two coconuts with thumbprints.
Pick up the two coconuts with thumbprints and let go of them over the firepit. They should disappear. When both coconuts have been deposited to the fire, the large chest will open and reveal a flare gun.
Return to the dock and press E to shoot the flare gun.
Retrieve the key in the chest on the Pea Pod Punnett Square table and use it on the suitcase washed up on the beach.
PUZZLES 4 and 5 - TWO LEFT FEET and TWO FACED
Pick up the first scroll that features a picture of two left shoe outlines. Remove the pairs of shoes from the suitcase.
Note that the back of the scroll reads "Largest to smallest." The left shoes in that order are sizes 9, 7, 6, and 4.
Grab the scroll at the bottom of the suitcase with four faces and a hand icon.
The numbers on the scroll represent which order to leave a handprint (using E for interact) on these faces hidden on surfaces around the island.
The first face with teeth bared appears on a tree in the wooded area. The second face with an open smiley appears on the rock above the small pond. The third face with the square mouth appears on the post of the hanging tarp. The fourth face appears on the hill facing the starting beach.
Leaving a handprint on the fourth and final face should trigger a locked chest appearing on the hill. Use the largest to smallest shoe size combination (9764) to open the chest.
PUZZLE 6 - CUT TWO WAYS
Remove the machete from the chest on the hill and press E twice to use it on the adjacent ivy-covered rock. Swinging the machete twice should reveal the rock on the hill with three slashes in the ivy hiding a painted number 2.
Three other ivy-covered rocks around the island, respectively: a painted number 7 with 1 slash in the ivy, a painted number 8 with 4 slashes in the ivy, and a painted number 5 with 2 slashes in the ivy.
The slashes in the ivy portray the placement of the combination. Use the combination 7528 to open the shed.
PUZZLE 7 - TWO BIRDS ONE STONE
Press E to interact with the Raft Pallet in the shed - it will move to the dock. Pick up the scroll that reads "How about four birds with four stones."
Read the riddle on the back. The names of the Survivor stars (Reem, Gabler, Ozzy, and Parvati) correspond to letters of the rainbow: Red, Green, Orange, Purple.
Take the red rubber duck from the shed and place it first (from left to right) on the stone pedestal with four slots. Retrieve the orange rubber duck from the top of the hill where the machete chest opened and place it third. Find the purple duck by the large chess board. The Green Duck is on the trail in the middle of the island. Place the Green duck second and the Purple duck fourth.
PUZZLE 8 - TWO TO TANGO
Press E to interact with the Paddle and it will move to the dock with the Raft Pallet.
Read the scroll with the instructions to the Probst Tango. These answers require the player to revisit all the puzzles on the island to make sure their count is correct.
Returning to the Pea Pod Punnett Square, take note that there are three peas per pod on the table.
Even though there were only four numbers painted on rocks with ivy, searching the island will reveal there are six total rocks with ivy.
The amount of pairs of shoes in the suitcase on the shore is four.
Scouring the island will show that there are five torches scattered around.
Starting from the bottom right-most tile of the large chess board, moving forward three steps, then moving left six steps, then moving forward four steps, and moving right five steps should result in a broken tile - revealing the rope for your raft.
If the rope moves to the dock but the cutscene doesn't roll, interact with the Raft Pallet one more time.
And you won! Congratulations. Don't tell CBS.
